Pikachu and his friends have gathered to listen to a song performed by Meloetta at the melody tree. Meloetta is soon interrupted by a Sandstorm attack which breaks the tree and causes the Melody Berries to scatter. Before the performance can continue the Pokémon must retrieve the lost berries.
Pop superstar Adelaide Kay is so fed up with her controlling manager that she sneaks off the tour bus after their latest squabble. While on the run from the police, Steve Railsback hides in a group of moviemakers where he pretends to be a stunt man. Both aided and endangered by the director (Peter O’Toole) he avoids both the police and sudden death as a stuntman. The mixture of real danger and fantasy of the movie is an interesting twist for the viewer as the two blend in individual scenes.
Charlie and his troublesome cousin Paulie decide to steal $150000 in order to back a “sure thing” race horse that Paulie has inside information on. The aftermath of the robbery gets them into serious trouble with the local Mafia boss and the corrupt New York City police department.
